It was our blessed Lord’s desire for the world to celebrate the following Sunday after Easter, as Divine Mercy Sunday.

In His own words to St. Faustina Kowalska, He says:
My daughter, tell the whole world about My Inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy.
The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.

On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity.

We hope that you will be able to publicly venerate the Divine Mercy image and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at a church near you.  One suggestion in the Diocese of San Angelo is to attend the ‘Divine Mercy Sunday at the Carmelite Hermitage’

Here is their schedule and we hope you have a very blessed Divine Mercy Sunday:

1:30 pm Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions

2:15 pm Recitation of the Holy Rosary

3:00 pm Recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy

3:30 pm Celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass followed by a Eucharistic Procession & Benediction

5:00 pm Reception in the St. Albert Hall  (please bring a covered dish)

We invite you to join us in the Worldwide Novena of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
In the ‘Divine Mercy in my soul’ diary of polish nun, St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, we read our Lord’s very words to her, and to the world, about this Divine Mercy Chaplet:

“Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given.  Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death.

When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the Merciful Savior.

Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation.  Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this Chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy.  I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy.

Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will.”

Here is today’s intention (for Priests and Religious).

DAILY Prayer:
O ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of mercy, Health of the sick, Refuge of sinners, Comforter of the afflicted, you know our wants, our troubles, our sufferings deign to cast upon us a look of mercy.
By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favors, and already many have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and physical.

We come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession.  Obtain for us, O loving Mother, the granting of our requests.

Day THREE Prayer:

You are all fair, O Mary, and there is in you no stain of original sin. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.  O brilliant star of sanctity, as on that lovely day, upon a rough rock in Lourdes you spoke to the child Bernadette and a fountain broke from the plain earth and miracles happened and the great shrine of Lourdes began, so now I beseech you to hear our fervent prayer and do, we beseech you, grant us the petition we now so earnestly seek

(Make your request)

O Brilliant star of purity, Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, glorious in your Assumption, triumphant in your Coronation, show unto us the mercy of the Mother of God, Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother, be our comfort, hope, strength, and consolationAmen

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for usSaint Bernadette, pray for us.

1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory Be…

Day TWO Prayer:

Be blessed, O most pure Virgin,  for having vouchsafed to manifest yourself shining with light, sweetness and beauty, in the Grotto of Lourdes, saying to the child Saint Bernadette: “I am the Immaculate Conception!”

O Mary Immaculate, inflame our hearts with one ray of the burning love of your pure heart.  Let them be consumed with love for Jesus and for you, in order that we may merit one day to enjoy your glorious eternity.  O dispenser of His graces here below, take into your keeping and present to your Divine Son the petition for which we are making this novena.

Will you join us in praying the Worldwide Novena to our Lady of Lourdes for HEALINGS and for the intentions of our family of listeners throughout the Network.
Thank you and God bless you for your faithfulness to pray with us and for others!

Through gratitude for your favors, we will endeavor to imitate your virtues, that we may one day share your glory. Pray for us; obtain for us from your Divine Son our special requests if it be the Divine Will. Amen

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
Saint Bernadette, pray for us.

Mother Angelica is quoted as saying “Never put a lid on God.  You can give God a thimble and ask for a quart.  It won’t work.  Your plans, your projects, your dreams have to always be bigger than you, so God has room to operate.  I want you to get good ideas, crazy ideas, extravagant ideas.  Nothing is too much for The Lord to do – accent on ‘The Lord’.
