Car-Raffle-Giveaways

Thank you for listening to Catholic radio on KSHJ 1430 AM in Houston. One lucky listener is going to win a 2016 For Mustang on March 2nd, and I would love for that to be you. Can you imagine getting that call from me? How fun would that be!  This is a great way for you to support Catholic radio in Houston, so I want to make this a win-win for us both.

If you purchase a car raffle ticket from me, you can choose your own “thank you” gift; I will mail it to you for free. Car raffle tickets are just $25 each, or a book of 5 for $100 (cash, check, or charge). If you purchase a book of 5, you can choose any two items from the below list.

Here’s the catch…. I have limited supply of all these items (some, only a few), so I am offering these on a first-come, first-served basis. I apologize in advance if, when you call me, I do not have any of the item you wanted left in stock.

To choose your gift, call me today at 832-786-4500 x2 with your credit card, and I process your raffle tickets and mail your “thank you” gifts right away. If I don’t answer, just leave me a voice mail. You can also send me an email at joe@grnonline.com.

Sacred HeartHappy New Year!

It’s hard to believe but, it’s already 2016… seems that 2015 went so fast. There is much to look forward to in 2016 for KSHJ in Houston. For instance, we are kicking off our 2016 car raffle (can you help sell tickets?), we are moving our local live show from Monday at noon to Monday at 8am, and we have an opportunity to grow the station provided we can obtain the listener funded support we need to make it work.  Praise God!

Personally, I am looking forward to the birth of my son Kolbe-Thomas in March; I can’t wait to hold him in my arms. Kolbe-Thomas will be the sixth child the Lord has entrusted us to raise… may we be up to the task. Please keep us in your prayer.

So, what are you looking forward to in 2016? I would love to know… send me an email at joe@grnonline.com. Or, comment on our Facebook page.

Together, let’s look forward to what the Lord has in store for us, and how He might use us to impact many lives for His Glory and their salvation.  I pray your New Year is truly incredible, may God Bless you abundantly!

KSHJ-Christmas-Tree-StudioCan you believe it?

Christmas is upon us again, this year has gone so fast that I almost can not believe that it’s that time again. To remember that God took on flesh and dwelt among us… in order to redeem us… to redeem ME and YOU… it truly amazes me.  I am so grateful… the Lord has blessed me abundantly in 2015… my wife and kids, my work at the station… partnering with you to impact Houston for the salvation of souls!  I wish words could express my gratitude.

2015 has truly been a year of “favor in the Lord” for AM 1430 and our listening family. We have received many powerful testimonies about the impact of YOUR Catholic radio station over this past year.  Just last week, Stephanie said,

“Listening to Catholic radio saved my marriage!”

Would you keep us in mind as you consider your year-end charitable giving?

As we close out 2015, we have two specific challenges and one opportunity.

  • One, we are projecting an $80,000 operating budget shortfall this year.
  • Two, we need to replace our transmitter and building at the tower site at a cost of $58,000.
  • Three, we are praying to acquire a low power FM translator station to extend our signal in 2016 at an estimated cost of $150,000.

May we count on you to help us thrive as we prepare for 2016?

Can you help?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”left-to-right”]

We are looking for a few “coming home” testimonials to share with our Network-wide audience during our Christmas share-a-thon? Do you know anybody whose journey home to the Church might inspire thousands?

 I want to hear it!

First… we also need great volunteers (superheroes) to help us ring the bells to celebrate our fundraising goals this Christmas … would you consider helping?

Our Christmas Share-a-thon is coming up December 1 through the 4th.

Our call center volunteers are a key part of the success of each of our share-a-thon’s.  They are the first to hear the powerful feedback from the listeners who call in to make their pledge of support for Catholic radio on the Guadalupe Radio Network.

We always have a lot of fun and a lot of food during each share-a-thon, and I pray you would consider joining us this time. It’s super simple too. These volunteers take incoming calls and enter pledge information into a computer. Each call only takes a couple of minutes.

There are three opportunities to consider.
Tuesday, December 1:
6 Volunteers needed for the morning shift from 6:45am to 1pm
6 Volunteers needed for the afternoon shift from 12:45pm to 7pm

Thursday, December 3:
3 Volunteers needed for the afternoon shift from 12:45pm to 7pm

Can you help?  Let me know if I can reserve a spot for you. Thank you in advance!

Ok, do you, or someone you know have a powerful story of “coming home” to the Church? A conversion or reversion story?  I would love to share it with our audience… all I need you to do, or someone you know, is to call our main # and leave a voicemail. Just call 832-786-4500 use extension 1.

Do me a favor, do your best to be concise by keeping the testimony to 5 minutes or shorter.  This will make it easier to share as many as possible. Thank you in advance, and I am looking forward to using these testimonies to inspire others for the Glory of God!
